About Coconut Rentals – Locally Owned & First Responder Owned
Coconut Rentals is a locally owned and operated golf cart rental company serving visitors and families throughout Anna Maria Island. The company is co-owned by lifelong local friends Brian Kolesa and Justin Beauregard, who built Coconut Rentals around a simple idea: provide dependable equipment, straightforward service, and the kind of customer care they would expect for their own families.
Both owners bring different experience to the business. Brian has spent his career serving the local community as a firefighter/paramedic, while Justin brings years of professional automotive service experience. Together, that combination of public service, mechanical knowledge, and local experience shapes the way Coconut Rentals operates today.
Growing up just across the bridge, Anna Maria Island has always been a familiar part of our lives. Beach days, boating, family gatherings, local restaurants, and time spent around the island created some of our favorite memories. Coconut Rentals gave us the opportunity to build a business in a community that has meant so much to us over the years.
Reliability is especially important to our team. Our Club Car fleet is carefully maintained with a focus on safety, cleanliness, performance, and dependability. We know vacation time is valuable, and our goal is to make transportation one less thing our customers have to worry about.
We have also designed the rental experience around convenience. From simple online booking and contactless service to free delivery and pickup throughout Anna Maria Island, our team works to make renting a golf cart as easy as possible. When a customer needs assistance, they are dealing with a local team that is available to help.

A Background Built Around Service
Long before Coconut Rentals, service to the local community was already an important part of our story. Co-owner Brian Kolesa has served as a firefighter/paramedic with Longboat Key Fire Rescue for many years.
In 2013, Brian was recognized by Longboat Key Fire Rescue as Firefighter of the Year following an off-duty response to a serious vehicle accident in Bradenton. While traveling to work, he stopped at the crash and provided emergency care to a young child until additional responders arrived.
The experience is one example of the background in public service that helped shape the values behind Coconut Rentals. We don’t consider it a marketing accomplishment—it is simply part of who we are and why safety, dependability, and helping people matter so much to our team.
